During the burial of former Kandara MP David Waweru Ng’ethe a group of men led by his son John Kiarie (KJ) who is Dagoretti South MP appeared with what looked new machetes.

The burial was at Kiranga in Kandara, Murang’a County.

President William Ruto attended but kept of the machete ritual at the grave that left locals and others in attendance flabbergasted.

The son KJ claimed it was intended to re-enact a scene out of a campaign trail in 1979. He called his late father ‘machete’.

In the scene, KJ played Dad role, “He of the “Banga Juu Fame” Brandishing the “Sword of David” against oppression”.
Several actors in the scene were from the original “Banga Juu” cast over 40 years ago.
