Late Maasai political kingpin William ole Ntimama is honoured with a road name in Juja, Kiambu County.
At Toll area, Thika Superhighway a road signpost stands conspicuously reading ‘Sir Ntimama Road’.
The 3.1 kilometre stretch connects superhighway and Kiganjo road, passing near the two popular dams and several resorts.
Off this road named after the late former Narok North MP and Cabinet Minister are Ntimama lane and Ntimama Drive.
The road got the name in 2017 after Ntimama passed on in September 2016. Last year about two kilometres were tarmacked.
George Njoroge Ntimama who claims he is son of the late leader he fought for the recognition.

He says he decided to have his late father recognised with a road because he has not sired a boy to name after him.
“I decided to cherish him with a road. My quest paid off after government granted my request,” Njoroge said.
He asked the government to complete tarmacking it to draw more investors and visitors to entertainment spots along the road.
Njoroge who is in his 6os bear a remarkable resemblance to Ntimama. He claims to be the first born but their parents separated.

In Narok town, a stadium was renamed after Ntimama in February 2020. He served as Chairman of the defunct Narok County Council.
