AFC Leopards have taken disciplinary action against three senior players, including assistant captain Victor Omune, for violating their contracts by participating in unauthorized matches.
Omune, along with Kennedy Owino and Julius Masaba, has been suspended for two weeks without pay for engaging in amateur football without the club’s approval.
In an official statement, the club announced: “AFC Leopards has suspended Victor Omune, Kennedy Owino, and Julius Masaba with immediate effect for two weeks and without pay due to a breach of contract. The players were involved in an unsanctioned match in October without the club’s knowledge.”

The trio was spotted playing in unofficial matches in Nairobi alongside players from Gor Mahia and Mathare United.
Following similar breaches, Mathare United has suspended Kevin Kimani, Brian Ouru, Elli Asieche, and Erickson Mulu.
Additionally, reports suggest that Gor Mahia is contemplating disciplinary measures against their own players for contract violations.
