Cracks in the government are now evident with President William Ruto and his deputy Rigathi Gachagua pulling from different sides.
Gachagua has been trying to bring the mountain together under his control but Ruto henchmen are against the move.
Kapsaret MP Oscar Sudi has come out as strong critic of Gachagua, terming his inroads in the region that was divided during the last elections as tribal.
Gachagua insists he will continue fighting for the region and that leaders from other areas should not meddle with Mt Kenya politics.
On the other side, Sudi said all leaders have a right to go all part of the country.
