Four suspects — three Ugandan nationals and one Kenyan — have been arrested in connection with a series of violent armed robberies in Nairobi and parts of Western Kenya.
The arrests were made during a coordinated security operation across the Dandora, Saika, Pumwani, and Huruma estates.
The Thursday operation followed an extensive investigation by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), with Crime Research detectives analyzing the gang’s modus operandi prior to launching a targeted pursuit.
DCI’s elite Operation Action Team, working alongside the Intelligence Bureau, apprehended the suspects and recovered three firearms: two pistols, an AK-47 rifle, and 50 rounds of ammunition.
The suspects have been identified as Sipholi Sam Wafula alias Sande, Ogomba Alex, Mohammed Musa, and Wafula Clinton.
Sipholi was the first to be arrested and, during questioning, led detectives to his Saika residence where officers found a Falcon pistol hidden under a pillow, loaded with 11 rounds of ammunition.
Ogomba Alex was arrested shortly after. A search of his Dandora apartment led to the discovery of an AK-47 rifle, loaded with 30 rounds, concealed beneath a couch.
The interrogation of both suspects pointed authorities to Mohammed Musa’s home in Huruma, where he lives with his family. Investigations revealed that Musa is the registered owner of the AK-47.
Preliminary findings show that the three Ugandans had recently re-entered Kenya on May 21 via the Malaba border, after previously fleeing the country following a violent robbery in Eastleigh.
Authorities believe they have been shuttling between Uganda and Kenya in an attempt to evade capture.

The final suspect, Wafula Clinton — a Kenyan resident of Githurai 45 and alleged ringleader — was arrested in Pumwani. A Palleberum Feg 9mm pistol, loaded with nine rounds, was found tucked in his waistband during the arrest.
The operation also disrupted a robbery that was being planned for a business along 12th Street in Eastleigh. While several accomplices remain at large, authorities say they have been identified and are being pursued.
The four suspects are currently in custody at DCI Starehe. An identification parade is scheduled for today ahead of their arraignment in court.
