Two men have been arrested in Kasarani for allegedly posing as female masseuses to lure and rob unsuspecting clients.
According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), the suspects—identified as Alex Mugo Wachira and Simon Chomba Mbogo—had been using social media platforms to advertise fake massage services.
They reportedly used photos of attractive women and promised professional spa treatments to entice potential victims.
One victim, who reported the incident to Kasarani Police Station, said he responded to the online advert and proceeded to the supposed massage location along Lumumba Drive.
Upon arrival, he was confronted by the two men, who were armed with knives. They allegedly forced him to transfer KSh280,000 via mobile money before stealing his personal belongings and throwing him out.
Detectives later tracked the suspects to the Kamiti prison area, where they were found allegedly enjoying the proceeds of the crime.
