Celebrated Kikuyu secular musician and police officer Samidoh has sparked widespread concern after sharing—and later deleting—a haunting message on Facebook that appeared to foreshadow his own death.
Posted late last night, the cryptic message has led to growing speculation that the singer may be facing threats, possibly linked to his outspoken political views.
Samidoh is a known supporter of Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and has not shied away from criticizing politicians who oppose him—both in interviews and through his music.
Part of the now-deleted post read: “In case I die unexpectedly, or before my time, I want you to know that I’ve lived a full and good life. Allah gave me an opportunity to travel the world, see nature at its best, and meet incredible people I was fortunate enough to share a moment with. Let the world remember my name not just as a combination of letters but as a heart that burned with a flame.”
He continued: “If I die young, remember the dreams we chased together—dreams of a better life not just for ourselves but for future generations. If you ever miss me, look at the stars. I’ll be there, shining brightly, reminding you to live passionately, chase your dreams, and cherish those around you. Also, remember to tell mama I did my best.”

The emotional post was made shortly after Samidoh publicly wished his estranged wife, Edday Nderitu—who lives in the United States—a happy birthday. This timing has led some to believe that personal issues may have contributed to the tone of the message.
Alarmed by the post, close friends and fans quickly reached out to check on his well-being. According to sources, they were able to contact Samidoh and convince him to take the message down.
Among those expressing concern was fellow musician Wanja Asali, also known as “Mtoto wa Kiambu,” who commented:
“Samidoh, HSC, wacha kutupea pressure. Washa simu penye uko. Hope you are well. May God protect you.”

Though the post has since been removed, it continues to raise questions and stir anxiety among Samidoh’s supporters, many of whom are urging the singer to take care of his mental and emotional health—and are calling for prayers during what appears to be a troubling time in his life.
