President William Ruto has reshuffled his Cabinet following the dismissal of Public Service Cabinet Secretary Justin Muturi.
Ruto has reassigned Aden Duale from the Ministry of Environment to the Ministry of Health.
In a statement signed by Head of Public Service Felix Koskei, the President also appointed Hanna Wendot Cheptumo to a new position in the Ministry of Gender.
Cheptumo is the widow of the late Baringo Senator William Cheptumo, who passed away last month while receiving treatment at Nairobi Hospital.

If approved, Duale will face a challenging task in addressing the issues plaguing the Social Health Authority (SHA), which has contributed to the ongoing health crisis across the country.
Dr. Deborah Barasa will take over the Ministry of Environment in Duale’s place.
