NTV reporter Ngina Kirori has been selected for the prestigious Reuters Journalism Fellowship, one of the most esteemed training programs in the media industry.
This year-long fellowship, which runs from January to December, will take place at the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom.
An excited Kirori shared her gratitude for the support she has received throughout her journey.
“Your girl is off to Oxford! I’m a product of the guidance and encouragement from my colleagues, friends, and family, along with a lot of passion and determination to pursue a project I’ve wanted to research since I began my career in journalism. I’m thrilled about what lies ahead!” she said.
Kirori also expressed her long-standing passion for media research. “I’m beyond grateful and excited to work on a project I’ve been passionate about since starting my journalism career—especially at such a prestigious institution as the Reuters Institute under the University of Oxford, which has a renowned reputation for excellence,” she added.

The Reuters Journalism Fellowship is a program run by the Thomas Reuters Institute, offering advanced learning opportunities for practicing journalists. It is designed to allow mid-career journalists to delve deeper into their craft.
The fellowship provides full funding, covering accommodation, living costs, and other incentives. Each year, around 30 fellows from across the globe are selected for the opportunity, and Kirori is among the fortunate few to secure a spot this year.
Kirori, an investigative journalist at NTV, has already won several prestigious awards, including the Best Investigative Story at the 12th Annual Journalism Excellence Awards (AJEAs).

Prior to joining NTV, she worked as a communications officer at Eddahs Hope Cancer Foundation and as a journalist at Zam Zam Publications.
