Nairobi United have secured their first-ever promotion to the FKF Premier League after a hard-fought 2-1 victory over 3K FC in a National Super League (NSL) clash at Dandora Stadium, Nairobi.
The win on Friday ensured the “NaiBois” claimed one of the two automatic promotion slots, having reached 66 points—11 clear of second-placed APS Bomet, who have a game in hand.
With three fixtures left to play, Nairobi United are now mathematically assured of a place in the 2025/26 FKF Premier League season.
Under the guidance of head coach Nicholas Muyoti, the team has enjoyed a remarkable campaign.
Originally founded in 2015 as Balaji EPZ Football Club, the team rebranded to Nairobi United in 2022. Their rise to the top tier marks a major milestone in the club’s journey.
Frank Ouya was the hero of the day, netting both goals for United, while Ronald Karenwa pulled one back for 3K FC.
In addition to their league success, Nairobi United are also enjoying a strong run in the FKF Cup.
They recently advanced to the semifinals after a convincing 2-0 quarterfinal win over top-tier side Kakamega Homeboyz.
Backed by the Johnson Sakaja Foundation, the club attributes its success to a blend of consistent performance, teamwork, and determination.
They head into the final stages of the season with a solid record: 19 wins, 9 draws, and only 4 losses. They’ve scored 48 goals while conceding just 22.
With promotion secured and momentum on their side, Nairobi United are already setting sights on making an impact in the top flight.
