The long-standing feud between Gatundu North MP Elijah Njoroge “Kururia” and Kameme FM presenter-turned-bishop Benson Gathungu, known as Kiengei, has escalated once again.
The conflict, which began in September after Kiengei told Kururia to look after his mother, reignited when Kiengei claimed online that Kururia’s mother had visited his church to collect maize meal flour.
This led to an angry outburst from Kururia, who used strong language against Kiengei, a known supporter of Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

While tensions seemed to ease after a few weeks, they resurfaced when Kururia, who is openly opposed to Gachagua, demanded a refund of the Sh600,000 he donated to Kiengei’s Jesus Christ Compassion Ministries (JCM) church last year.
It is also reported that Kururia made several other undisclosed donations to the growing church.
“It’s time to get my money back! I don’t have money for my mother’s Christmas flour,” Kururia posted online last night. He further questioned, “Are you sure you will return the money? Why didn’t you refuse it when you received it?”
As of now, Kiengei has not responded to Kururia’s demands or to the latest public provocation.
