Lilian Nyambura Mbugua, a brand manager at East Africa Breweries Limited (EABL), who had been missing since December 23, has been found alive.
The 28-year-old woman was discovered in Murang’a, at a filling station in Maragua Town, late last night.
Murang’a South Deputy County Commissioner Gitonga Murungi confirmed the news on Tuesday, stating that Lilian, who had been missing for nearly a week, was located alive.
She was promptly taken to a nearby health centre, where medical staff noted that she appeared disturbed.
Lilian had gone missing from her mother’s home in Kabati, Murang’a, and her family filed a report with Gikono Police Station and the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).
Initial findings from the DCI revealed that she had made three phone calls on the evening of December 21, two days before her disappearance.
