Radio presenter Terry Muikamba has announced her departure from radio after a remarkable 12-year career in the industry.
Reflecting on her journey, she expressed deep gratitude for the unwavering support from her listeners over the years.
“Allow me to be a little dramatic: after twelve years, I’m closing the chapter that began as my teenage dream. Radio has been my home and my heartbeat, and I owe it all to you for tuning in and allowing me to share my voice every single day,” Muikamba shared in a statement.
While bidding farewell to radio, Muikamba hinted at exciting new opportunities ahead, assuring her fans that this is not a goodbye but the beginning of a new adventure.
Muikamba’s radio career began in May 2012 at Family Media Radio, where she honed her skills.
In June 2016, she joined Royal Media Services’ Hot 96 FM, where she hosted popular shows like Rhythm Junction and The Rewind. Her vibrant personality and engaging content quickly won her a loyal following.
In December 2017, she made the transition to Classic 105 under Radio Africa Group, where she co-hosted, the Classic Overdrive show alongside Mike Mondo.
Muikamba later expanded her horizons in December 2020, venturing into television by joining Kenya Television Network (KTN) to host the Mega Deals Show, which aired weekly.
In January 2021, she returned to Hot 96, where she brought her signature charm to the afternoon show The Rewind.
