A man hacked his two children with a machete then committed suicide on Sunday night in his home at Katuliki village, Makueni county.
Muumbi Makato who separated with his wife attacked his children aged 10 and 15 years as they were sleeping.
It is not yet clear why he did the heinous act but residents claim he was an introvert, thus hard to figure out what he was going through.
Police recovered the murder weapon at the scene.
