Another scribe working for the Standard Group’s KTN has left, joining the list of hundreds of employees who have left the Mombasa Road-based media company.
Exit of David Muthoka who covered news and politics for the company’s flagship TV station comes at a time SG is embarking on sending home more than 300 employees.
Muthoka worked at Standard Group for 27 months.
“Today, I have officially left Standard Group, after two years and three months as a political reporter at KTN News,” he wrote in twitter.

Adding “For two years I have interacted, learnt and grown and I bid the company goodbye better, experienced and smarter than I was when I entered these doors in June 2022.”
Before joining KTN, he worked for the Cape Media Limited-owned TV47.
Standard Group is struggling financially. Recently they closed down KTN News, KTN Farmers TV and Burudani TV.
