Kindiki spends the night at Farouk Kibet’s home in Eldoret

Deputy President Kithure Kindiki spent last night at the home of Farouk Kibet, a close ally and aide to President William Ruto, in Eldoret.

Kindiki is in the area to attend the Great Chepsaita Cross Country in Uasin Gishu County, an event for which Farouk serves as patron.

The second edition of the event, themed “Run for Education,” will see 2,000 athletes compete across 18 categories.

Farouk hosted Kindiki and several elected leaders from the Rift Valley region at a fireside consultative forum held at his expansive home.

The gathering included Governors Jonathan Bii (Uasin Gishu), Wisley Rotich (Elgeyo Marakwet), Ken Lusaka (Bungoma), and Fernandes Barasa (Kakamega); Former West Pokot Governor Prof. John Lonyangapuo; Senators Jackson Mandago (Uasin Gishu), Julius Murgor (West Pokot), and William Kisang (Elgeyo Marakwet).

Also present were Members of Parliament such as Gladys Boss (Deputy Speaker and Woman Representative, Uasin Gishu), Janet Sitienei (Turbo), Oscar Sudi (Kapseret), Prof. Phylis Bartoo (Moiben), Julius Rutto (Kesses), David Kiplagat (Soy), Carolyne Ng’elechei (Woman Representative, Elgeyo Marakwet), Adams Kipsanai (Keiyo North).

Gideon Kimaiyo (Keiyo South), Musa Sirma (Eldama Ravine), Joseph Makilap (Baringo North), Charles Kamuren (Baringo South), and Bishop Jackson Kosgei (Nominated).

Also in attendance were Members of the County Assembly of Uasin Gishu, as well as representatives of farmers and professionals.

Senior government officials present included Head of the Public Service Felix Koskei, and Principal Secretaries Alex Wachira (Energy), Mary Muthoni (Public Health), Peter Tum (Sports), and Prof. Julius Bitok (Immigration and Citizen Services).
