As Kenyans struggle to cope with high cost of living, even those working in big offices are also crying
Two years after William Ruto was elected, his administration gave big jobs to some artists who played pivotal roles in his campaigns.
One of them is Kikuyu gospel singer Ngaruiya Junior, the self-styled “King of Kigooco”.
Ngaruiya who brags how close he is to Ruto, his deputy Rigathi Gachagua and other high-profile personalities in Kenya Kwanza government is now lamenting.
He is broke and begging for small emceeing jobs like dowry, burial and weddings.
Ngaruiya has opened up about his situation, revealing it has always been a lie that he has an office at State House and another at Harambee House, the President’s office.
He was reportedly made head of entertainment and music Ruto’s office but now it can be revealed he has been living a lie and is broke.

“Out there they think I am a millionaire working in State House. I don’t have any office and no monthly salary” Ngaruiya revealed.
“Government pays me only when I am given emceeing job which is rare. I earn as little as Sh20, 000. I am suffering financially and mentally” he said.
He disclosed he has been playing his fellow artists when they ask help or request to visit his non-existent office.
“I lost the small gigs when it was announced I am working in that big office. Kindly my people give me dowry, wedding, burial and kesha emceeing jobs” he begged in an online interview today.
when Ruto came to power, Ngaruiya became ‘untouchable’ artist full of braggadocio.
He gate-crashed events, humiliated artists and called their fans ‘raia”, claiming he was representing Ruto.
He lost public affection and in Mt Kenya region he tops the lost of most disliked artists.

A source told Bigstar News Ngaruiya has learnt the true colours of the president and politicians. They are masters of “use and dump”.
In a past interview he claimed Ruto calls his father to establish how they are progressing.
Ngaruiya also alleged he was offered Sh15 million by Azimio during campaigns to shift loyalty to them.
“They are struggling. Ngaruiya has opened up. Others will follow soon. They thought it was their time to eat but kiliwalamba” a fellow artist told Bigstar News.
