Kenya is set to host the 4th Global Tourism Resilience Day Conference & Expo, with a focus on building tourism systems that are prepared, adaptive, and sustainable, Cabinet Secretary for Tourism, Rebecca Miano, EGH, announced.
Speaking ahead of the event, CS Miano emphasized that resilience in tourism goes beyond recovery, highlighting the importance of destination readiness, coordinated governance, diversified tourism products, trusted crisis communication, and inclusive growth that protects both communities and enterprises.
“We look forward to welcoming partners and stakeholders to Nairobi as we advance practical approaches that move resilience from policy discussion to implementation,” CS Miano said.
The conference will bring together local and international partners to share strategies, innovations, and best practices for enhancing tourism resilience, ensuring that Kenya remains a competitive and sustainable destination even in the face of global challenges.
