Family, friends, and distinguished guests came together to mark the 70th birthday of Mzee Patrick Itumbi, father of Dennis Itumbi, Head of Presidential Special Projects and Creative Economy Coordination.

The celebration, held in honour of a life defined by wisdom and service, also saw the official unveiling of a family memoir titled Itumbi: The Man, Our Stories.

The book captures Mzee Itumbi’s life journey, his legacy, and the values he has passed down through generations.

National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wa was among the notable attendees. In his tribute, he praised Mzee Itumbi’s enduring influence:

“A beautiful occasion filled with joy, gratitude, and reflections on a life well-lived. Mzee Itumbi is a father whose wisdom, discipline, and unwavering values continue to inspire generations. We thank God for the gift of his life and the legacy he continues to build through his family.”

The event featured moving tributes, soul-stirring church performances, and a special preview of the memoir, which highlights the family’s roots, shared principles, and Mzee Itumbi’s respected role within the community.

The day was not only a birthday celebration but also a tribute to legacy, storytelling, and the deep bonds of family.
