Kenya’s national football team, Harambee Stars, has maintained its 108th position in the latest FIFA world rankings.
These rankings, which factor in performances from the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers and international friendlies, underscore the team’s ongoing challenges in making significant progress.
Kenya also failed to secure a spot in the 2025 AFCON.
Tanzania continues to lead Kenya in 106th place, having qualified for the 2025 AFCON, while Uganda, with a strong performance in the AFCON qualifiers, ranks 88th in the region.
The rankings reflect the growing competition within East Africa, with Kenya now trailing behind its regional neighbors both globally and on the continental stage.
Morocco, ranked 14th, remains Africa’s highest-ranked team, followed by Senegal in 17th as the continent’s second-best.
Globally, Argentina holds onto the top spot as World Cup champions, while Vietnam experienced the biggest rise, moving up two places to 114th.
Hong Kong earned the most points, adding 4.18 to their tally, while Seychelles saw the steepest decline, dropping seven spots to 201st.
