Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has stated that he is encountering difficulties in his efforts to unite Kiambu Governor Kimani Wamatangi with members of Parliament.

Speaking in the Meru, Buuri constituency, Gachagua expressed his satisfaction with successfully bringing together the leadership of Kericho, Nakuru, and Meru counties.

He emphasized the potential risk of the Mount Kenya region falling behind in terms of development if unity is not achieved.

Gachagua mentioned that he has managed to reconcile Wamatangi with members of the county assembly in Kiambu but is facing challenges with members of Parliament.

“I have reached out to counties that are fighting,in Kiambu ,I have succeeded in uniting Wamatangi with members of the county assembly but there is a problem with members of Parliaments and I’m in talk with majority leader Kiamani Ichungwa ,”he said .

He added that discussions are underway with Majority Leader Kiamani Ichungwa to address this issue.

He also encouraged Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza to foster a culture of peace and reconciliation. Gachagua urged Mwangaza to extend forgiveness to all leaders in the county, emphasizing the importance of love and forgiveness as taught by the Bible.

“Madam governor,if all these leaders wronged you, kindly forgive them as they are your sons and daughters and the vice versa,we must love and forgive each other as the bible teaches us “he said
