Eunice Wanjiru Mugo who contested Juja parliamentary seat twice but lost has been sentenced to 18 months of community service by a Thika Magistrate after she assaulted her sister-in-law over property ownership dispute.
Wanjiru who spent 21 days in Thika Prison Remand will now serve at chief’s camp for the one and half years.
Last year she attacked Njeri Waithaka, who is almost twice her age, physically and verbally.

Thika Law Courts by Magistrate Oscar Wanyaga sentenced her while emphasizing the importance of respecting elders and community harmony.
After the ruling, a contented Njeri said justice had been served.
