Lawyer Nelson Havi has called on former Chief Justices David Maraga and Willy Mutunga to consider running for the presidency in the 2027 elections.
Havi, a former president of the Law Society of Kenya (LSK) and who vied for the Westlands MP seat in 2022, believes that both former CJs are ideally positioned to lead the country.
He emphasized that one of them should forgo retirement and step forward for the presidential race.
“The country needs a wise leader to address its current challenges,” Havi asserted.

Adding “CJ Dr. Willy Mutunga SC or CJ David Maraga must sacrifice their retirement and run for President of the Republic of Kenya. We need a wise elder to restore our social contract to its original purpose.”
