The National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) has summoned five leaders from Tana River County led by Woman Rep Amina Dika for questioning over inciteful utterances.
Dika alongside Bungale ward MCA Jibril Mahamud Farah, Bura MP Yakub Dubow Kuno, former Woman rep Rehema Hassan and Galole MP Said Buya Hiribae are expected to appear before the commission on October 9.
NCIC said they were summoned to assist in further investigations regarding ethnic contempt that is considered detrimental to the peaceful coexistence of Kitui and Tana River communities.
The Woman rep Dika and Hiribae are alleged to have adversely incited the residents of Galole Constituency in Tana River County to destroy Konakaliti Police Station in Kitui South.
MCA Farah is alleged to have incited the residents of the Katumba area in Kitui County against the construction of a Police Station in the area.

Kuno and Rehema are alleged to have incited the residents of Tana River County to invade Kitui County by forcefully grazing camels and attacking residents in the area.
Earlier this month the commission summoned Kajiado Governor Joseph ole Lenku for uttering words bound to incite tribal animosity and conflicts.

Taking at Rombo Group Ranch in August, Lenku made statements targeting a community residing in the area, suing words like “our enemies”.
On September 3, the commission summoned Embakasi North MP James Gakuya to appears for questioning over remarks he allegedly uttered that border on incitement.

NCIC said he appeared to incite Kenyans against members of a certain community by allegedly labelling them “outsiders” who should not buy properties in Nairobi.
