CMC Motors Group has announced its decision to gradually cease operations in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda, fully adhering to local regulations and existing distributorship agreements.
The move comes after a comprehensive review of the business, influenced by ongoing market difficulties such as economic challenges, currency devaluation, and rising operational costs.
For the past 40 years, CMC Motors Group has been a key player in East Africa, particularly supporting the region’s agricultural sector with high-quality service, mechanization solutions, and reliable customer support.
However, despite efforts to restructure and a transformation initiative launched in 2023, the current market conditions have not offered a viable path for long-term sustainability.
The company has pledged to assist its employees throughout this transition, ensuring an orderly closure in full compliance with all relevant agreements and regulations.
