Doing business with a reputable church is one deal you would expect it would to sail through flawlessly but that has not been the case to a Kiambu business lady.
Susan Wambui is regretful after she supplied St Joseph Catholic Church in Muguga, Kiambu County, items worth Sh95, 000 in September last year.
The church leadership ordered 80 door locks and issued her a cheque from Diamond Trust Bank (DTB).
When she went to cash it at Family bank, it bounced.
When she raised alarm, the two banks and the church ignored her. Family bank failed to raise the criminal matter with DTB and also the latter failed to report the church to authorities.
Issuing a fake cheque is a serious crime. Apparently DTB management feared to confront the church.

After the matter was highlighted in the media, the church’s top office, the Archdiocese of Nairobi, said they will probe the matter.
DTB Bank has since confirmed the cheque was fake but has not revealed what action they will take.
According to Wambui, the church and bank have gone silent and she fears they want to frustrate her to ditch the case that can have serious ramification to the church and DTB.
“I will not give up. This is a criminal matter that should be taken seriously. I will not accept to lose my money” she told Bigstar News.
We will continue following up on this matter until Wambui gets justice.
