Raphinha scored a dramatic penalty deep into stoppage time to seal a thrilling 4-3 victory for La Liga leaders Barcelona over Celta Vigo, completing one of the season’s most remarkable comebacks.
The Brazilian forward coolly converted from the spot in the 98th minute — virtually the last kick of the game — after a VAR review confirmed Dani Olmo had been fouled inside the box.
Hansi Flick’s side looked destined for a shock defeat at home after Borja Iglesias netted a stunning hat-trick, overturning Ferran Torres’ early opener to give Celta Vigo a commanding 3-1 lead just past the hour mark.
But Barcelona refused to fold. A quickfire double from Dani Olmo and Raphinha in the second half brought the hosts level, setting the stage for a tense finish at the Camp Nou.
Just when it seemed the visitors would hang on for a point, VAR intervened after Olmo was clipped in the area.
Raphinha stepped up and fired home the winner, sparking wild celebrations among the home crowd.
The result sees Barcelona extend their lead at the top of La Liga to seven points ahead of second-placed Real Madrid, who face Athletic Bilbao on Sunday.
