Musician Kariz Magic, the elder brother of Mugithi star and police officer Samidoh, has spoken out following his brother’s alarming Facebook post that hinted at death and was later deleted.
Kariz, who is credited with mentoring Samidoh in music during his early days, suggested in a cryptic message of his own that the singer might be facing threats from powerful, unnamed individuals.
In a Facebook post, Kariz wrote: “The greatest threat to freedom is the absence of criticism. Freedom of speech is always under attack by fascist mentality. Let’s pray.”

His remarks have fueled speculation that Samidoh’s disturbing message may have stemmed from pressure or intimidation related to his bold political stance.
Samidoh has been openly critical of the current administration and has condemned elected leaders from Mt. Kenya who were involved in the impeachment and continued attacks on former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

Samidoh’s original post read: “In case I die unexpectedly, or before my time, I want you to know that I’ve lived a full and good life. Allah gave me an opportunity to travel the world, see nature at its best, and meet incredible people I was fortunate enough to share a moment with. Let the world remember my name not just as a combination of letters but as a heart that burned with a flame.”

He added: “If I die young, remember the dreams we chased together—dreams of a better life not just for ourselves but for future generations. If you ever miss me, look at the stars. I’ll be there, shining brightly, reminding you to live passionately, chase your dreams, and cherish those around you. Also, remember to tell mama I did my best.”
The post sent shockwaves through social media, prompting an outpouring of concern from friends, fans, and fellow artists.

Several people reached out to Samidoh and were able to convince him to delete the message.
