Ali Wako, the Director of Revenue Services for the Isiolo County Government, has been reported missing for a third consecutive day following his disappearance on Wednesday evening.
According to family members, Wako was allegedly picked up by unidentified individuals near his residence in the Chechelesi area of Isiolo. His whereabouts remain unknown, raising growing concerns among loved ones and colleagues.
Fearing abduction, his family and friends held a peaceful demonstration on Friday, marching to the county commissioner’s office to demand swift action and transparency from authorities.
They claim Wako had previously expressed concerns for his safety.
Deputy County Commissioner Christopher Siele addressed the demonstrators, assuring the family that security agencies are actively investigating the matter.
“We are doing everything we can to ensure Ali Wako returns safely to his family,” Siele said, acknowledging the distress the disappearance has caused.
The investigation into Wako’s disappearance is ongoing.
