The company also recorded a rise in net profit to Ksh.45.7 billion, up from Ksh.42.6 billion year-on-year.
Safaricom CEO Dr. Peter Ndegwa attributed the strong performance to ongoing innovation across the firm’s product portfolio, the rapid expansion into the Ethiopian market, and significant investments in community-driven initiatives.
Over the past five years, Safaricom has channeled more than Ksh.18 billion into programs focused on Education, Health, the Environment, and Economic Empowerment.
“We have achieved our set targets, with Kenya delivering growth across all business segments and Ethiopia gaining strong commercial momentum,” said Dr. Ndegwa. “This performance reflects our commitment to transforming lives and our ambition to become Africa’s leading purpose-driven technology company by 2030.”
Earnings Before Interest and Taxes (EBIT) rose by 29.5% to Ksh.104.1 billion. Ethiopia contributed nearly 10% of the Group’s total revenue, highlighting its growing significance in Safaricom’s regional strategy.
