The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has officially launched the search for a new Secretary and Chief Executive Officer, inviting qualified candidates to apply for the position.

The incoming CEO will take over from Dr. Nancy Macharia, whose term is set to end on June 30, 2025.

The position carries a five-year term, with the possibility of a one-time renewal for an additional five years.

To be eligible, applicants must be Kenyan citizens and hold a university degree in education.

They must also satisfy the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution and have at least ten years of professional experience in education, administration and management, public administration, human resources, or financial management.

Application forms are available for download on the TSC website. Completed forms, along with the required documentation, must be submitted to the office of the Commission Chairperson in Upper Hill, Nairobi by May 27.

Applicants are also required to provide clearance certificates from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), Higher Education Loans Board (HELB), Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), and a certified Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).

Once the shortlisting process is completed, the Commission will publish the names of all applicants as well as the interview schedule.
