Kenyan musician David Mathenge, popularly known as Nameless, has announced the passing of his father.

In an emotional Instagram post, he wrote: “Rest well Daddy. I am blessed beyond measure to have had you as a father! #WithTheAngels #MathengeSnr.”

Nameless, a renowned Kenyan pop musician and architect, rose to fame in the late 1990s with his hit single “Megarider,” which quickly became a sensation and launched his successful career.

As a pioneer of modern Kenyan pop music, Nameless is known for blending catchy melodies with Swahili and English lyrics, often incorporating a distinct Kenyan flavor.

His music has resonated with audiences across generations and social divides, earning him a loyal fanbase throughout East Africa and beyond.

Beyond the stage, Nameless is also a trained architect from the University of Nairobi. He has successfully balanced his creative and professional careers with remarkable grace.

Nameless is married to Wahu Kagwi, an award-winning musician and actress. The beloved power couple share two daughters and are often celebrated for their long-lasting relationship and family values in Kenya’s entertainment scene.
