Willy Kamuren, the former Member of Parliament for Baringo North, has passed away at a hospital in Nairobi, his family has confirmed.
Kamuren, a seasoned politician, served as the MP for Baringo North from 1963 to 1969 under the Kenya African Democratic Union (KADU) ticket.
He later made a return to Parliament in 1983 as a nominated MP and was re-elected in 1988, serving until 1997.
In addition to his political career, Kamuren was the owner of Grand Holiday, located on Acra Road in Nairobi, and held the position of Assistant Minister in the Office of the President.
His death is a significant loss to Baringo County, marking the third leader from the region to pass away in less than a month.
