Joseph Kairo Wambui, widely known as Khalif Kairo, a well-known car dealer and social media personality, has been arrested once again on charges of defrauding a client.
The latest arrest follows allegations that Kairo failed to deliver a vehicle to a customer who had already paid the full purchase price.
Videos circulating on social media depict Kairo being detained at Capitol Hill Police Station on Saturday, where he was involved in a heated exchange with police officers.
In one of the videos, Kairo is heard pleading with the officers, saying, “Si vita, you are not going to harass me, you can’t harass me bana! You wait I sort things out.”
The confrontation escalates when one officer responds angrily, “Ebu thubutu! Wacha ujinga bwana! Do you think you are the first person to come here? Unaona niko na clients pale kwa ofisi… sitakuruhusu ulete ujinga hapa. Sisi tunapiga watu. Tutakupiga hapa saa hii tu!”
Reports indicate that Kairo was arrested after he allegedly failed to convince the client that he was planning a trip to New York to secure funds and resolve the matter.

This incident comes just a month after Kairo’s detention in December 2024, when he was accused of failing to deliver a luxury vehicle to another client at a car yard in Ridgeways.
Kairo, who boasts a large online following, has faced numerous allegations of fraud in the past, raising concerns about the legitimacy of his business operations.
