Makadara MP George Aladwa has expressed strong confidence that the ODM party will secure nearly all elective positions in Nairobi in the 2027 general elections.
As the ODM Chairman for Nairobi County, Aladwa lauded the recent grassroots elections, viewing them as a positive indicator of the party’s potential success.
Speaking in Makadara, Aladwa outlined the party’s ambitious targets, stating that ODM is poised to win at least 13 out of the 17 parliamentary seats, more than 60 out of the 85 MCA positions, and the Nairobi gubernatorial seat.
“We have proven that we remain the dominant force, the party of the people, especially in Nairobi where our support is overwhelming. Our goal is clear – we intend to win nearly every seat,” Aladwa declared.
The MP also voiced confidence in his own bid for the ODM County Chair position in the upcoming April 2025 elections.
He is expected to compete against Westlands MP Tim Wanyonyi, who has also shown interest in running for the Nairobi governorship in 2027.
