Salim Swaleh, the former Director of Press Service at the Office of Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, is now seeking a new job after losing his position.
Swaleh, a former NTV and Citizen TV news anchor was dismissed from Mudavadi’s office after being accused of attempting to defraud foreign nationals of Sh5.8 million.
He had worked in the role for 18 months before the scandal came to light.

In August, Swaleh shared an emotional video of himself in tears, asking for forgiveness and expressing his regret.
Now, he longs for the routine of his former life, reminiscing about wearing suits and heading to work each morning.
” I miss putting on my suits and reporting to work every morning. Give me a job, guys,” Swaleh posted, tagging major Kenyan television stations.
On June 23, Swaleh was arrested in connection with a complex fraud case involving Mudavadi’s office.
A statement from Peter Warutere, Secretary of Strategic Communications at Mudavadi’s office, confirmed that the charges included impersonation, fraud, and abuse of office.
Swaleh has since been replaced by Jacob Ng’etich, a former political writer at the Standard newspaper.
