Mathare United handed KCB their first loss of the 2024-2025 Football Kenya Federation Premier League season, edging them out 1-0 at Dandora Stadium.
Meshack Ochieno emerged as the hero, netting the only goal of the match in the 55th minute, marking his first strike in the top tier and helping Mathare secure their third win of the season.
Mathare goalkeeper Michael Wanyika made several vital saves in the second half, preventing KCB from finding an equalizer. Despite missing four players due to suspensions, Mathare held firm to claim the victory.
KCB still leads the league table with 17 points, followed closely by newcomers Mara Sugar with 14 points, while Mathare now sits in fourth place with 11 points.
