Journalist and content creator Natalie Githinji has opened up about her battle with endometriosis during a heartfelt radio interview.

Endometriosis is a chronic condition where tissue similar to the uterine lining grows outside the uterus, leading to severe pain and various other symptoms.

The former NRG presenter candidly shared her fears about the condition she has been dealing with for several years.

When asked about her deepest fears, Natalie did not hesitate to respond: “That I will die? Yes, I am (afraid).”

Her emotional words resonated as she reflected on the profound impact of losing her friend Jahmby Koikai, who also struggled with endometriosis and ultimately succumbed to the disease.

“I was scared, and I was at work. I feel like I will end up there, which frightens me. That’s why I live my life to the fullest. If there is no cure, then yes, eventually I will die,” she shared.

Natalie’s vulnerability shed light on the harsh realities faced by those living with endometriosis. She emphasized the importance of patience and understanding for those in relationships with individuals suffering from the condition, as support is often lacking.

Diagnosed with endometriosis in 2016, Natalie expressed her regret about not knowing about the condition sooner, having endured significant pain before receiving a proper diagnosis.

Her journey has motivated her to advocate for change, particularly in the wake of Jahmby Koikai’s death.
