The Junior Starlets staged a commanding play, thrashing Valencia CF Women 4-1 in a pre-World Cup friendly clash at the Ciudad Deportiva del València CF grounds in Spain last night.
Starlets took the lead in the nineth minute through Valerie Nekesa before she doubled the lead in the 26th minute.
Lindey Atieno then put the Kenyans three to the good in the 35th minute as the Junior Starlets headed into the half-time break in high spirits.
In the second half, Atieno struck again, netting her second goal of the match in the 50th minute, bringing the score to 4-0.
Valencia CF Women managed to pull one back in the 88th minute through a penalty.

The match ended 4-1 in favor of the Starlets.
The friendlies continue tomorrow with Kenyans taking on Portugal and on Monday next week challenge Intercity.
The Starlets have been in Spain for the past one week in preparation for the Under 17 Women’s World Cup in the Dominican Republic kicking-off mid-October.
