The Board of Directors of the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC) announced the appointment of Florence Migunde as the new acting Managing Director.
Migunde succeeds Paul Macharia, whose term as acting MD ended on Thursday, September 19, 2024.
Prior to the appointment Florence Migunde served as KBC marketing manager.
The board chairperson Tom Mshindi said Migunde will lead until a substantive MD assumes office.
He also emphasized the importance of support for Migunde, urging all staff members to provide her with full cooperation to ensure efficient and effective delivery of services.
In May then ICT Cabinet Secretary Eliud Owalo appointed Agnes Kalekye as the MD of KBC but a court order barred her from assuming the office.
The High Court stopped the appointment of Kalekye and three other individuals who were appointed to serve in various organizations in the government.
Migunde will serve in an acting capacity until the court issues a final decision.
