Mugithi star Samidoh terminated publicly services of his manager and secondary school friend Moses Kimani Marite last night.
Samidoh announced his decision to sever ties with Marite late at night, confirming rumours they had fallen out after the latter reportedly solicited money from bar owners and others using the singer’s name.
The notice read; “Take notice that Samidoh Entertainment terminated all services of one Moses Kimani Marite….Take further notice that he is not authorized to transact any business, negotiate or enter into any contract on behalf of Samidoh”.
Marite, a Mechanical Engineer started off as the singer’s photographer and personal assistant before he was elevated into a manager.
Their friendship dates back in mid-2000s at Ol Joro Orok secondary school. Samidoh was in form three when Marite joined form one.
“He was my ‘mono’. Was quiet and looked so naïve” Samidoh narrated in 2019.
Marite scored B+ but because of his poor background, he was unable to join the university immediately.
He hustled as tea hawker at Kariobangi in Nairobi before his former secondary school employed him as an Untrained Teacher.
A year later he repeated the same school and managed to score Grade A.
Through fundraisers he joined University of Nairobi where he studied engineering.
Samidoh, a career police officer has been helpful to him until the fallout that has left fans and friends shocked.
Some asked him to forgive him while others commended Samidoh for protecting his brand.
A graphic designer who was contacted past midnight to make the poster wrote on his Facebook page;

“Out of the many nights that I get woken up by my clients to do them urgent tasks, tonight was the saddest. I almost crewed designing this memorandum. Two long time buddies being separated by business gone bad is sad. When business flies off the ledge with friendship, it goes all and goes lost. Notably, let’s us learn to be loyal to people who have given us opportunities to work for them”.
