Mathira MP Eric Wamumbi, a fierce critic of the besieged Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua now blames the latter’s advisor for the woes shadowing him.
Wamumbi expressed fear the region is on the verge of losing the powerful position of the second in command should an impeachment succeed.
In a post on his social media platforms, the first-time legislator who hails from same area with Gachagua, claimed the DP took a detrimental path thanks to what he termed misleading advise allegedly from his political advisor Ngunjiri Wambugu, who is former Nyeri MP.
“I am very saddened this morning, I feel very bad that we are in this situation, I feel very bad that we are almost losing a position that should have helped our people big time” Wamumbi lamented.
He alleged; “It is very unfortunate that one Ngunjiri Wambugu successfully took Uhuru Kenyatta straight into a ditch and has again succeeded in taking Rigathi Gachagua into a ditch”.

Adding; “If Rigathi Gachagua goes down, we, the people of Mathira, shall never forgive Wambugu for misleading our son”.
His sentiment comes at a time MPs from Gachagua’s backyard have started calling for his ouster.
Wamumbi’ s spouse, Murang’a Woman Representative Betty Maina, is a leading call for Gachagua’s resignation saying “He has outlived his usefulness in government”.
