The whereabouts of mwalimu Mohamed Abduba Dida who vied for presidency in Kenya in 2013 and then 2017 has been established.
The former teacher is serving a seven-year sentence at Big Muddy Correctional Center in Illinois, United States of America.
He was sentenced in November 18, 2022 for the crime of stalking and intimidating an unidentified person residing there.
It is not yet clear if he was residing or visiting the US. The offences were committed in Mclean County in Illinois.
During the trial, Dida was facing two charges: stalking and transmitting threats and the second charge aggravated stalking and violation of a restraining order against the victim.

He was sentenced to two years in prison for the first offense and seven years in prison for the second offense.
Unless otherwise, Dida will taste freedom on April 3, 2029.
In 2013 polls, he garnered 52,848, finishing fifth out of eight candidates.
Then in 2017, he had 38,004, emerging fourth out of eight aspirants.
