Embakasi North vocal MP James Gakuya is now on the radar of the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC).
The commission has summoned the ally of deputy President Rigathi Gachagua for what they term making hateful utterances.
NCIC headed by Rev. Dr. Samuel Kobia has directed Gakuya to appear before the commission on tomorrow.
Gakuya spoke at an interview on Kameme Fm where he told his tribespeople to rethink while selling their properties to Somalis in Nairobi.
He also discussed Nairobi governorship politics saying despite Kikuyus voting in big numbers for others, they become victims of the person they give the seat.
There are some utterances he made that have irked the commission.
“If you look at Nairobi CBD we have handed it over to Somalis, what I can tell the Kikuyus is that giving out properties that are in Nairobi CBD to those foreigners just because they are the highest bidders with pirate money they get from the ocean and using it to buy our properties in Nairobi, they will take Nairobi from us” he said.
Gakuya went on; “They have taken over Eastleigh and are now targeting Nairobi CBD and we were the owners of those apartments. If you are to sell your plots be selling them to the Kikuyus and we have our rich people who can buy these properties in Nairobi”
Adding; “When selling your properties in Nairobi, tell brokers not to bring Somalis because our people are there and we don’t want outsiders to buy these properties. The Somalis don’t even employ Kikuyus unlike us who employ everyone irrespective of tribe. These people buy these apartments them fill them with Somalis. Our people how can we live if we give out everything then later be thrown out of Nairobi”
He also pointed out South C which he said is now owned by Somalis and non-Somalis are not allowed to own property there.
He said Kikuyus have lost grip of the city sometimes even being troubled by leaders they vote.
“Sometime back we elected another leader whom we thought would help us but turned out to be a chameleon all over sudden. He doesn’t give peace to the Kikuyus in CBD. That man calls us Egyptians who occupied Nairobi” he alleged.
Gakuya alleged that directions to demolish businesses owned by Kikuyus come from the above.
