Equity Group has appointed Moses Okoth Nyabanda as the acting Managing Director, Equity Bank Kenya, to replace Gerald Warui.
The appointment follows the board’s acceptance of Gerald Warui’s request for early retirement.
Warui leaves the bank after having served in various roles including operations, customer service and HR.
Prior to the appointment, Nyabanda was serving as the Group’s Chief Finance and Strategy Execution Officer.
Before he joined Equity, Nyabanda was the Managing Director and country senior partner for PricewaterhouseCoopers (pwc) in Rwanda and a member of PWC Eastern Africa leadership team.
