After criticising Raila Odinga’s collaboration with President William Ruto, Wiper leader has changed his onslaught on bromance between the two.
Kalonzo utterances yesterday indicated he has softened his hardline stance on what is becoming a coalition government between Kenya Kwanza and ODM.
He said he is willing to engage Raila to strengthen the Azimio coalition ahead of 2027 polls.
“We must continue to engage with Raila Odinga as it is right now. He is the leader of Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition, and until the time we decide whether to release him to go to the AU,” he said.
His words now appear to be a veiled support of his boss’ unforeseen move to join hands with Ruto, his political nemesis.
In July Ruto nominated Hassan Joho and Wycliffe Oparanya, John Mbadi and National Assembly Minority Leader Opiyo Wandayi to his Cabinet.

The four Raila men have since been sworn in as CSs after Parliament vetted and adopted their names.
Leaders Azimio la Umoja led by Kalonzo and Narc Kenya party leader Martha Karua lambasted Raila.
Karua left the coalition a day after Ruto nominated the four.
Kalonzo who now seems to have taken an about-turn spoke at the Oslo Center Africa Youth Forum, where he called for youth inclusion in national dialogue.
He revealed that an Azimio council meeting chaired by former President Uhuru Kenyatta is in the offing to sort out issues bedevilling the coalition.
