A scene not common to civilians, the Kasarani police station-based officer identified as Paul Kamau Mbugua wailed like a baby after he was caught in the act of soliciting a bribe of Sh30, 000.
Residents watched the drama in awe as detectives from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) cornered him at a liquor store along Lumumba Drive in Roysambu.
He was accused of demanding the bribe to release two brothers he had wrongfully arrested and detained at the Station.
They confiscated his pistol and ammunition before taking him to Kilimani Police Station.
