Eldoret businessman Francis Mwangi Ndirangu is fit to stand trail for the murder of his wife, court has declared.
Ndirangu has been charged with brutal murder of his wife Rael Biwott who was a senior accountant at the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital.
Rael was killed on the night of June 22 and 23, at Shauri estate in the outskirts of Eldoret town, Uasin Gishu county.
Her mutilated body parts were later found dumped along a roadside in Nandi County.
Ndirangu who has denied the murder charges was arraigned before Justice Rober Wananda at the High Court in Eldoret yesterday after a mental assessment report showed he was fit to stand trial.
The Judge ordered a pre-bail report to be tabled in court even as the family advocate Ham Lagat said they would oppose Ndirangu’s application to be released on bond.
