Radio Thome, an online community radio station based in Ngurubani town of Mwea, Kirinyaga county lost two of its presenters in a road accident over the weekend.
Stephen Waigwa, 21 and Caroline Kamunya, 20 were riding on a motorcycle along the Sagana-Makutano highway when they crushed with a Toyota Probox.
They died on the spot while the occupants of the car sustained various injuries.
The two were coming from a Kutus town where the radio station staff was having birthday party to celebrate four years since the station went on air.
The Probox driver was following the two on motorcycle but the rider turned to the right trying to join an interchange on the right side of the road to get to Riandira SDA church.
In the process they crushed to death.
